After having launched respective series on the disciplines of Multiplay and Freestyle, this series covering the discipline Forms, aims to complete your picture of our sport. The series breaks down a particular BailongBall Form into several parts. In each part, we show you round about two elements. At the end of the last part, you will have covered the Form and you will pick up tips and tricks while progressing from one part to the next.<\/p>\n<p>In the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/bailongball.com\/en\/bailongball-formen-ein-beispiel-teil-1\/\">first part<\/a>\u00a0of this series, we explain what sets Forms apart from the other BailongBall disciplines. We introduce the preparatory element of a particular form, followed by a second element, called \u201cThe Mirror\u201d. In\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/bailongball.com\/en\/bailongball-formen-ein-beispiel-teil-2\/\">part two<\/a>\u00a0we cover elements three and four \u2013 the \u201chorizontal turn\u201d and the \u201cCloud Hands\u201d. In this part we will introduce you to the two follow-up elements of this form, just to end with a sneak preview of part four. As with the first two parts, this part will also introduce two new elements. And again, we pick up exactly where we left of the time before.<\/p>\n<p>Following the \u201cCloud Hands\u201d is a changing of direction. This move ties into the coming element, the \u201cDynamic 8\u201d. Most of all, however, you turn towards the open space of your room, after having reached one end of it. The move consists of:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>the inception of a diagonal to the right side of your body<\/li>\n<li>the inception of \u201cpropelling arms\u201d, with your right arm stopping behind your body and your left arm in front of the body<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>And this is how the change of direction looks:<\/p>\n<h1>Change of direction<\/h1>\n<h2>Overall View<\/h2>\n\n\n<div style=\"width: 1020px;\" tips:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Shift your weight on your right leg, when lowering the racket to the inception of the Diagonal<\/li>\n<li>You gain the momentum for turning 180\u00b0 when lowering the racket<\/li>\n<li>To gain the momentum, it is important to initiate the movement with your pelvis (not your arm) \u2013 this helps you maintain balance<\/li>\n<li>To turn, you pivot on your forefoot<\/li>\n<li>As soon as you have set down your entire left foot, the inception of the \u201cpropelling arms\u201d follows<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h1>\u201cDynamic 8\u201d<\/h1>\n<p>The \u201c8\u201d stands for the shape you \u201cdraw\u201d with the racket:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Imagine the number as a big 8 in front of your body \u2013 now tilt it to the side<\/li>\n<li>Next you \u201cdraw\u201d along this lying 8 with racket and ball<\/li>\n<li>Move forward while drawing<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The sequence:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Draw the 8 twice while moving in one direction<\/li>\n<li>Change the direction as described above in element 1<\/li>\n<li>Now draw the 8 twice while moving in the opposite direction<\/li>\n<li>The end of the second 8 is followed by the next element (more about this in the next part of this series)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The forward movement:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Your feet follow racket and ball<\/li>\n<li>When the racket swings to the left, the left foot goes diagonally forward and sets down<\/li>\n<li>The right foot follows immediately and levels with the left foot when the racquet reaches its highest point on the left<\/li>\n<li>The left heel does not touch down<\/li>\n<li>The counter-movement of your pelvis allows the right foot to advance and the sequence starts all over, only this time to the right<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>So much for the description \u2013 here is the tips:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>\u201cYour drawing of the first 8\u201d starts on your lower right<\/li>\n<li>By turning your pelvis to the left you initiate a diagonal upward movement to your left<\/li>\n<li>At the end of the upward movement you catch the swing from your pelvis with a counter movement of the pelvis in the opposite direction<\/li>\n<li>The initiation of the counter movement pulls the racket in a circular motion from your upper left to your lower left<\/li>\n<li>When your hip is back to the starting position, the diagonal upward movement to your upper right is completed<\/li>\n<li>Once more you catch the momentum of your pelvis with a counter movement<\/li>\n<li>Again, the initiation of the counter movement draws racket and ball \u2013 this time from the upper right, to the lower right<\/li>\n<li>The next 8 begins\u2026<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h1>Both elements in one sequence<\/h1>\n<p>Both elements are executed twice.
