At the end of the year, there is always a bit of melancholy. That’s not a bad thing if there are still unfinished projects. If a postponed project doesn’t seem so important to us now, we can perhaps cancel it. If it remains important, we can take another look at it and bring it up to date.
The most important sporting event in the world in 2024 will be the Summer Olympics. The Paris Olympics has accepted around 10,500 athletes and is a major sporting event. But do you know what the biggest sport and fitness event in the world is? The answer: the International German Gymnastics Festival (“Internationales Deutsches Turnfest”). Like the Olympic Games, it takes place every four years.
Players from all over the world got in touch that day. With an Instagram Live session and lots of posts on social media channels.
What was launched as a European idea by the TBBF and celebrated in countries such as the Netherlands, Germany, Portugal, Ukraine, Latvia and Russia, “spilled over” to Asia and found lively participation in China, Malaysia, Singapore and Japan, among others.
But a picture is worth a thousand words – take a look at all the messages in the many pictures and videos for yourself. From greeting cards to pictures and videos of the players and organizers to official celebrations. It’s all there.
Here we go again…
As every year, Jinzhong becomes the center of events in the BailongBall world for the coming days of competitions. The championships once again showcase our sport in all its disciplines and players from all over the world make the pilgrimage to China.
With their heart in it – the athletes’ show begins with the journey.
Looking Back – Supervision 2024: Game
The summer break is coming to an end for many. It’s best to pick up where we left off just before the break😊: You may remember our announcement – in June of this year, TBBF held its annual supervision. For the first time, the disciplines of Art and Game were set in parallel. In this part, let’s take a look at what that looked like for Game in particular. The second part is then dedicated to the Art discipline.
Summer, sun and fun – whether in the city, in the park, in nature, on the beach. BailongBall and summer are simply made for each other
Freddy Siegenthaler published an article about our sport in the 1/2024 issue of “tennis SPORT” magazine. A passionate tennis player and experienced tennis coach, he found his way to BailongBall a long time ago. His description of the sport and his experiences make this article an interesting read, not only for tennis players. His concise comparison of the two sports, tennis and BailongBall, also helps with understanding and orientation. And now in his words:
Like every year, BailongBall enthusiasts from Europe come together. What began as a supervision session for coaches many years ago has now become a weekend for all players and fans of the sport.
Are you wondering what supervision actually is? Here you get an impression.
In addition to training, you have the opportunity to get to know other players and network, hear the latest news and of course have lots of fun. Like in the years before, there will be something for everyone this year as well: We have planned parallel blocks for Art and Game, which you can choose to your heart’s content. We will also be “playing a round of basketball”.
