Website - Taking a Closer Look: Game Techniques

We have added videos to our website showing some of the game techniques. These are 28 videos recorded by the son of Professor Bairong, the inventor of our sport.

This is a mixture of turns of varying degrees of difficulty. The videos shown here demonstrate techniques that are relevant for training to become a senior instructor.

This means that not all swings are listed here. You may have already seen some of them in our blog posts that are not listed here. It's best to search for them on the overview page of our blogs under the term "advanced techniques".

A World of Variety - the BailongBall Disciplines

Your own name is an important communication tool, because it is usually one of the first words that comes up in a conversation with somebody who doesn’t know you. The name is like a business card that opens a door to your own (life) story for any stranger.

In a monolingual and monosystemic world, choosing a suitable name would be easier than in our real multicultural community. After all, language, pronunciation and characters have many country-specific facets.

Our sport celebrates its 30th anniversary – congratulations, Prof. Bai Rong!

Experiences with the Online BailongBall Junior Trainer Program

We started with the following plan: Half the time we train via web conference and the other half traditionally, on site.

So on October 26, 2020, we started our first web conference based training session and shimmied from one pandemic social distancing ruling to the next. Bottom line: the entire Junior Trainer training took place via Zoom.

This required a lot of flexibility from the trainers Susanne Ritz, Mike Ritz and Shannon Ritz as well as from us, but this also had advantages, as we were able to schedule appointments at relatively short notice. We had different time windows, ranging from one hour to 4 hours, including breaks.
